Last night I was listening to the Christian radio station, they had some sort of talk show concerning politics and the war and everything. It got me really upset man!! These Christian men write books about American politics and "winning America back"... they were making comments like "If you want to preach multiculturalism, you're gona have a hard time backing it up form the Bible." They mentioned how diversity leads to perversity and yada yada it's part of our nation to stay conservative....
All I could of was how IGNORANT!!! And that they were probably pulling crap outa their butts with no theological or an even somewhat educated backing their "preaching."
But aside from all that, it was a different perspective about "diversity" in this country... now, I don't know for myself if the founding fathers intended for America to be a "diverse" nation... maybe a free nation, but diverse, I don't know. And our history has it that the USA has been battling racism for a while.... and for the most part, governmental positions are maintained by caucasians... now sure, black and hispanic people are slowly getting up in there, but majority is still the caucasians.
I don't know what I'm trying to get at. I'm still trying to figure it out for myself.
Anyway, we are first and foremost believers ... and we are obviously going to have conflict, but that is okay.

you know there's this new program in CFC Philippines, called "Laya" and it's focus is on government, and teaching the kids they can make a difference in society. something like that. nathan mentioned it the other day.
i was thinking, "yeah that would be nice for other countries" and thought how it related to the diversity issue. anyway.
